L’Outdoor Training è una metodologia di formazione esperienziale che non si fonda sulle conoscenze, ma su aspetti qualitativi, cioè la gestione delle competenze.Il fine didattico della formazione Outdoor è sviluppare determinati comportamenti e competenze nei partecipanti, coinvolgendoli sul piano fisico, cognitivo ed emozionale prendendo in prestito l’idea e i materiali da altri contesti come il mondo della natura, dello sport e del gioco.
Durante il percorso formativo Outdoor, la sperimentazione attiva e l’esperienza rappresentano la dimensione fondante per la costruzione della competenza. Il trainer, o facilitatore, sarà in grado di gestire circostanze emotivamente impegnative e coglierà le potenzialità di ogni individuo per far lavorare meglio il team. Questo tipo di percorso si è rivelato vincente nello sviluppo di competenze interpersonali e sociali.
